SAFETY

FORKLIFT ACCIDENTS

Recent studies have shown that forklifts are the most dangerous vehicles on workplaces: 57% of injuries caused by this type of vehicles, in fact, cause serious and fatal injuries to people operating in the surrounding area, not to speak of damges to goods and infrastructure. Up to 60% of all accidents with forklift trucks result in injuries or death.

Among the sectors most exposed to the risk of collisions are those that involve logistics, storage and handling of goods. The data collected in Europe (source: Eurostat) are alarming.

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE SAFETY

SIS systems are designed to prevent accidents in areas where industrial vehicles operate thus avoiding damage to people, structures, goods and machinery.

SIS systems can be deployed with two different types of safety levels i.e active safety and passive safety.

MAIN SAFETY RISK FACTORS

Poor visibility, distraction while driving and maneuvering, workers and vehicles presence, critical layout seriously affect the environment where lift trucks operate, our systems warn lift truck operators of imminent dangers of collision by offering a chance to slow down and prevent the movement of the lift truck.
